Enrollment Agreement
This course is offered by Bart Stockton under co-sponsorship agreement with Texas REALTORS®.
Timely & Appropriate: The license holder must determine if this course is timely and appropriate for his or her CE requirement and license renewal. The course description is provided in the Course Materials. License holders may not repeat the same course number during the term of their 2-year license period.
Identification: The Texas Real Estate Commission requires the instructor or provider staff to verify the student’s photo identification at the beginning of each course or session day.
Attendance is required for all class sessions in order to receive CE credit. No make-up work is possible. Students must sign-in at the beginning of each session. Students seeking CE credit may not leave the classroom while class is in session except for personal reasons, e.g. restroom break. “Personal reasons” does not include business activities, answering a phone call or text message, or meeting with another person.
Late Arrivals or Returns, Early Departures: Persons arriving after the official start of the class or returning late from breaks will be permitted to audit the course but will not be eligible to receive any CE credit. Persons leaving early will receive no credit. No partial credit is available.
Discussions: Appropriate, on-topic questions and discussion are welcome; however please refrain from mentioning any names or identifying information including company or agent names. Disruptions to the class will not be tolerated. After a verbal warning, any student disrupting the class may be asked to leave and will not receive any CE credit.
CE Credit: Courses are approved for CE credit as described in course advertising. If you desire CE credit for the course, you must sign the CE Course Completion Roster at the conclusion of the course and pay the required fee. Only students present for the entire course as determined by the Instructor and/or Monitor may sign the Completion Roster.
Course Fees are as indicated in the registration process per student who seeks CE credit, payable no later than the conclusion of the course. There is no charge for auditing the course if not receiving credit.
Refund Policy: Payment (for CE credit, if applicable) is due at the conclusion of the course. No refund is possible after the conclusion of the course and the student has signed the CE Course Completion Roster or a substitute roster such as Zoom Chat unless the student elects at that time not to receive CE credit. A student not receiving CE credit for any reason will be refunded in full by the end of the next business day after the last day of class; registrations processed through a third-party processor (e.g. EventBrite) will be refunded in full less the processor's fee.
Electronic Devices: The use of electronic devices is prohibited while class is in session except for viewing of official course materials or as required for a course activity as noted by the Instructor. Electronic devices include but are not limited to cell phones, pagers, computers, tablets, and recording devices.

Additional Agreements regarding ZOOM attendance:
System requirements
• Classes will be held via Zoom.us. If you have not downloaded this application to your device, you should do that before your class date as well as test your video and audio connection.
o To see a demonstration on how Zoom meetings work, click here - https://youtu.be/VnyitUU4DUY
• You will be required to have a camera and audio equipment to participate. Most laptops have this feature as do most portable devices. Please review the system requirements provided by Zoom.us: https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/201362023-System-Requirements-for-PCMac-and-Linux. To participate in the class, the instructor must be able to maintain visual and audio contact with you in order for you to receive credit. You may want to join on your computer to see the screen share and also join on your phone in order for the instructor to see and interact with you if your computer does not have audio/camera capability.
• Unless authorized in advance by the instructor, only one student may attend per device (i.e. you cannot share your device with another student who is to receive credit)
• Please note that a wired connection is optimal and will be less likely to disconnect from the class, which would result in forfeiture of CE credit. Consider deactivating the other internet-enabled devices in your home for the duration of the class to divert bandwidth to the Zoom class (e.g. smart home components, TVs or streaming devices, other computers, tablets, phones).
• If you are disconnected for longer than 5 minutes, you may not receive credit.
• Virtual Backgrounds are permitted, however please test your background/clothing/lighting combination in advance to make sure you are visible on camera. Some combinations render the participant partially or completely invisible, in which case you will not receive credit.
Login/check-in for classes
• Please have a picture of your driver’s license (or other photo ID) that you will send through email, text, or a private chat to the instructor or via email to the instructor that will serve as the TREC-required photo identification verification. DO NOT SEND PHOTO ID THROUGH GROUP CHAT.
• Please aim to login to the course at least 5 minutes in advance of class time (9:55am) to get connected and settled. We will need to start on time
• Make sure that your name displayed is your TREC licensed or registered name; i.e. it cannot say "iPad" or "Jack's laptop" if you want credit.
Rules & Etiquette for CE
• You must be visible and your camera must remain stable during the class. No driving or excessive moving around. Breaks will be given for restroom, calls, lunch, etc.
• Just as in the classroom, the rules for CE apply here as well.
o Students will be monitored for participation and engagement.
o Performing other tasks (either on your devices or around your home/office) is not allowed during class time. We understand that other distractions can be appealing while in the comfort of your home but keep in mind you are still required to be attentive. Text messaging, checking phone messages, MLS listings, Web search, or playing games on mobile devices are not allowed during online class time as you do receive breaks throughout the class period. No listening devices, newspapers, magazines, or other extracurricular materials are allowed to be used during class time. Please try to attend class in a location where you will not be disturbed or distracted.
o The instructor will provide time for breaks and lunch
o At no time should the student log off during the class. If you are disconnected during class time, you must immediately reconnect. Disconnects for longer than 5 minutes may require forfeiture of CE credit.
o Please be sure you are fully dressed and have an appropriate background as the instructor and other participants will be able to see you.
o If you must step away from your computer for any reason, use the chat feature to let your monitor or instructor know.
o Behavior that interferes with the classroom atmosphere will not be tolerated. An instructor may require a course attendee to leave a webinar for the remainder of the class if his or her behavior is disruptive or if it interferes with the learning of other class attendees. Prohibited behavior includes, but is not limited to the following: disengaging, sleeping, face not displayed in webcam or not getting reconnected within five minutes if your connections gets disconnected.
o Please remain muted except when speaking to the instructor or class. On a laptop, holding down the Spacebar typically unmutes you.
Examinations via Zoom
• TREC Legal Update and Broker Responsibility courses require an exam which will be administered online. All exam content is confidential. Any participant copying, recording, or divulging exam information outside of the course will be subject to disciplinary action by TREC.
